Guide

At MSC, we strive to make the application process seamless and straightforward, providing clear guidance and support from your first inquiry to enrollment. Our goal is to ensure transparency at every stage, offering prospective students the assistance they need for a smooth and successful application journey.

Admission Process

Step 1: Admissions Consultation at Midlands School of Commerce

  • After your inquiry, one of our applicant counselors will invite you for a meeting. Upon arrival at our campus, our team will welcome you and assist with your registration.

  • We will create your applicant file, verify your ID, and collect any necessary supporting documents.

  • An advisor will then discuss your chosen course and review your qualifications with you.

  • If you meet the minimum admission requirements, you will receive an Offer in Principle via email within 48 hours of your consultation—typically completed within an hour.

Step 2: English Language Requirements

  • If you do not have a certified qualification demonstrating the required level of English proficiency, you will need to pass our English language screening test.

  • This supervised assessment will evaluate your reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

  • Depending on your results, you may be required to take pre-sessional lessons and pass a final English exam before enrolling in your chosen course.

  • However, if you hold a recognized English qualification, this step will not be necessary. The basic English assessment typically takes around 90 minutes to complete.

Step 3: Application Form

  • Once you meet the minimum entry requirements, including English language proficiency, it's time to apply!

  • Simply fill out our online application, and our support team will be available to assist you throughout the process.

  • Depending on your level of preparation, completing your application may take anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes.

Step 4: Academic Interview

After submitting your application for your chosen course, our admissions team will review it to ensure it is complete and that you meet the eligibility criteria for enrollment.

If your application meets the entry requirements, you will be invited to a web interview with a member of our academic team. These interviews, lasting approximately 30 minutes, assess:

  • Your educational and/or professional background

  • Your readiness and motivation for the course

  • Your understanding of the subject, industry, and related career opportunities

As part of our commitment to quality, all eligible applicants must complete an interview. If you are applying through the Standard Entry route (Academic Achievement), the interviewer will discuss your educational background and how the course aligns with your professional or career aspirations.

Step 5: Applying for Student Finance

You must submit a financing application once steps one through four have been completed.

  • You can contact our Student Finance staff by phone or email for assistance with your funding application.

  • You’ll get a letter from Student Finance England confirming this after it’s been accepted.

  • You cannot begin your studies with us until you have secured your student funding.

  • Visit www.gov.uk/student-finance to submit an application for financial aid through Student Finance England.

Applications for student financial aid can be completed in around 30 minutes (depending on complexity).
