Our four-year LLB Law with Foundation Year programme will provide you with the professional competencies of functioning legal knowledge and applied skills as required for the solicitors qualifying examination to become a solicitor in England and Wales. It also satisfies the academic stage of training to become a barrister and allows you to proceed to the vocational state of training.
This course offers many flexible study options, meaning you can choose which style of learning suits your lifestyle better, whether that is at weekends, evenings or during the daytime. Unlike many other Law degrees, this course is taught in small group sizes, giving you the individual attention and support needed for success.

Teaching and Assessment

The assessment strategy aims to fulfil the learning outcomes by combining traditional assessment types with a variety of authentic assessments which allow students to progressively develop their skills throughout the four years of the programme.

Formative assessment and feedback is a key part of the programme’s strategy. These will allow students to practise new tasks and receive regular feedback, to give them guidance and confidence to perform well for their summative assessments. These could include presentations, work related projects, group-work, computer based simulations, essays, videos and business reports.
